# Adobe illustrator CS5 (ai or eps) files

Convert any fonts used in the file to letter outlines. If not, attach the relevant fonts.

# Adobe Acrobat files

PDF files

Deliver in PDF format. If colour separations have to be made, convert texts to letter contours in connection with trapping. If this is not done, attach the relevant fonts. Place the layout in 100%.

# Indesign CS5 files

Supply fonts and placed illustrations.
Attach printout of file.

# Photoshop files

PSD files

Saved as Tiff file in CMYK. Resolution: 300 dpi at full size.
At lower resolutions, we cannot guarantee optimum sharpness when printing. JPEG, BMP, GIF, etc. files are usually poorly compressed and can therefore be enlarged to a limited extent.

# Use of closure or trapping

Layout of locks

For locks, please apply maximum overlap under the most opaque colour. The light colour is usually printed first and darkest colour last. This then 'seals' the printing.

# Line thickness and colour numbers

Formatting line and colour

A minimum line thickness of 0.2 mm gives good results. Beware, for example, of a small corps with a fine serif running to an even thinner line. This runs the risk of not being expressed again.

We print colours from the PANTONE range. This range consists of pms numbers. Please indicate the designation of the pms number for a colour in the file. Always supply a print-out of the file for checking.

For files printed in full-colour build, always include a colour proof for colour reference!
